The River Tweed 2010-10-16 On the left is Scotland - specifically the town of Coldstream. On the right is England. For a few hundred years (until 1856), Coldstream was just a popular as Gretna Green for "marriages without prior notice" [my wife informs me that all readers of English romance literature will know these names]. It is also the home of the Coldstream Guards, the oldest regiment in the British Regular Army. A small town, but very nice, friendly, and wonderful landscapes. Thanks to all who commented on my Falkirk Wheel pictures. Very appreciated as always.
