Waiting - Seagull above Kirkcudbright bay, Scotland
Chester Cathedral 2010-11-07 We've visited here on a few of our trips - a pleasant, welcoming, active church. Built on the site of a Druid temple, there has been a church here since at least 660 AD. Work on the present building started in 1092 and 'finished' in 1540. It is a beautiful place, filled with love (and a great organ too). This is the view from the Remembrance Garden. Chester is an interesting city. Yesterday's picture of an old house is an example, and I thank you for the comments. That picture showed showed only the upper story, so as not to show the hundreds of tourists and the Boots etc downstairs. ;-)
