The new organ 2011-02-27 This is a shot of the organ in the church St. Johann Nepomuk in Vienna's 2nd district. The organ housing is from 1870 and was moved from a church in Krems in Lower Austria. The organ itself was constructed between 1986 and 1990. It has 1,918 metal pipes and 129 wooden pipes on two manuals and pedals. [To technology: It was nighttime and the empor lights had not been turned on, so this is a denoised version with the background blurred and lightened.] Many thanks for the comments on my subway shot. Amazing - under yesterday's top ten.
