A little Night Music 2010-07-27: I chose Mozart's title (KV 525) for this street scene, snapped yesterday on the way home. A street musician, Viennese style, on the Kärtner Strasse - Vienna's main pedestrian street leading to the center of the city. Must be a difficult business. And yes, of course I put a contribution in his pot. Thanks for all your great comments on yesterday's picture of the bridge and reeds. Very encouraging.

Shade in Summer 2010-07-16 The Botanical Garden of the University of Vienna runs the entire length of the Belvedere grounds - but outside the courtyard walls and away from the hordes of tourists. Here a woman has found a quiet shady spot in an almost forgotten corner. P.S. I've had a relative note that the concrete wall appears to be in the foreground for her, not the background. Maybe I should have cloned it out. [it is the far wall of a pond- the near wall cannot be seen, it is beneath the grass] "Not only what's in the picture, but what ELSE is in the picture".
