The Golden Calf 2011-02-19 This is the 'head' of a large piece of art labelled "The Golden Calf - Technology as Apocalypse" from Karl Anton Wolf in 1986. It is one of three figures. In stands in the Donaupark in Vienna's 22nd district. The complete wort of art is in Wiki: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Goldenes_Kalb_Donaupark_Wien.jpg Many thanks for the kind comments on my marbles. Very encouraging.
Dedication 2011-02-10 The unseasonably warm weather has continued, and the chess players are out. Perhaps fewer watchers than in the summer, but the games continue. Here in the Danube Park in Vienna's 22nd district. Thanks for your comments on my Belvedere shot.
Belvedere 2011-02-09 The view from the Lower Belveder to the Upper Belveder palais in Vienna at sunset. It *is* still February, so nothing is growing and the gardeners have protected the flower beds for the winter. The Upper palace contains the Klimt/Schiele/etc collection. The Lower palace (which is also behind me) has rotating exhibitions - the Rodin exhibition just closed.
