Just a Park 2010-09-14 A fountain in the Turkenschanz Park in Vienna's 18th district. This park is the one that reminds me most of New York's Central Park - lots of trees, waterways, playgrounds, different elevations (although much smaller than in NYC of course). A perfect place for strolling on a mild day. Many thanks for the comments yesterday on Tuluba (which means 'big ears'). I need to go back and try for higher resolution shots - he sure is photogenic. I haven't been so conscientious about commenting in the last couple days - I try to improve. It's so interesting when comments flow back and forth.
Vienna, Austria - home of Baroque, Gothic, Art Nouveau, Mozart, Beethovan, Freud - and the solitary fisherman. 2010-08-28 OK, so strictly this is not within the city limits, just a short bicycle ride beyond, where the old Danube channels widen. Trout, fogosch, perch are to be had - just don't expend too much energy. I'm posting early this morning - time to get out of the house and meet friends at the train station for a photo trip in the country. Unfortunately the weather is not the same as this picture - rain and much cooler. Enjoy the day.
Out of Season 2010-08-25: The tribunes for watching rowing competitions. Such fine pictures and people in this community. Many thanks for the comments on my rowing pictures. Much appreciated indeed.
