The "wasserpark" in Vienna's 21st district is home to many water birds, but not when the entire water is frozen. Temperatures below freezing for the last week and a light dusting of snow have meant that the birds have had to look elsewhere for fish.
Nothing happening on the Old Danube - no swimmers, no paddle boats, not even fishermen. The public swimming island across the water is closed for the season.
I don't know why this shot came out underexposed, but it works well this way.
