Exercise in the park Isn't it nice to be a photographer and have the excuse not to join in the exercise ;) Here in the Stadtpark in downtown Vienna. Regarding the red hare from yesterday's shot: The 'wing' it is sitting on covers the entrance ramp to the Albertina Museum - one of the great graphics museums of the world. And at the moment, an exhibition of 100 of the best pieces in its collection includes Albrecht Dürer's famous drawing of a hare (1502) [also the 'praying hands]. That drawing is only shown about once a decade. http://www.albertina.at/jart/prj3/albertina/main.jart?rel=en&content-id=1202307119323&ausstellungen_id=1370243694698
Oldest Bridge The "Konstantin Bridge" dates from 1873. It is to be found in the Prater Woods. It was constructed as part of the 1873 World Fair, where Austria tried to exhibit its special flair and products on a scale with Britain and France. The small hill behind the bridge (7m high) and the waterway are also part of the construction from that time. I posted this shot on FB yesterday, saying that I would go back and get a "prettier" shot in spring, and most people said this shot highlights the bridge better than a spring shot would.
Transdanubia in Fog The modern office buildings "across the Danube" being cut off by the high fog, as seen from an old arm of the Danube. I don't think I posted this already, but in moving to the new SM, I seem to have deleted a few recent shots from the Dailies.
