Sunset in Transdanubia One more shot of the lovely autumn colors along the "new Danube" channel, looking at the towers that have nothing to do with the "old Vienna" on the other side of the river.
On Top - Oben The coffee haus "Oben" is on top of the Vienna public library, up three flights of outside steps (or an inside lift). The steps are a meeting place for young people. The library itself is built on top of a subway line, so it is narrow and long.
New Vienna This autumn view shows the high-rise buildings in "Transdanubia" - the part of Vienna east of the Danube. The water in front is one of the old side arms of the Danube. The complex in the middle is where I spent the majority of the last 35 years. I'm not totally pleased with the quality - was it my pp or my wide angle lens that led to unsharp edges?
