Vienna 1400s 2011-06-26 One of the many models of Vienna in the Museum der Stadt Wien. This one shows St. Stephan's with the south tower but without the north tower. Still lots of walls, but the basic design of the inner city (now 1st district) was already there.

I'm leaving - on an U-Bahn 2011-02-26 Just practising taking shots of moving vehicles - in this case a Vienna subway train. I think the focal point in this shot might be too close to me. Many thanks for the comments on the lion guarding the door - much appreciated. There are so many excellent shots posted daily to this forum. Keep up the good work.

Cold Danube 2011-02-17 Not a tourist area of Vienna. The private fishing huts/boats have a long tradition here - the owners pay a fee for the mooring spot - nice and relaxing on a warm summer day but not now. The red roofed housing is from between the two wars, and the high buildings behind from the 1990s. Waiting for spring. When I woke up today, I was very surprised by the number and kindness of the comments on the last two days shots. Thanks!
