More NY Arcxhitecture 2013-07-19 So back to my theme. I'm not sure which building this is - nice windows, standing above other buildings, a bit of art deco.
NYC Municipal Building 2013-07-18 Bear with me, I'll run out of architecture shots of New York in a few more days!. This is another 'top of the bus' shot where you don't see the forty or so floors below - just the ornamental top. First occupied in 1913, approximately 2,000 people work there. The figure on the pinnacle is "Civic Fame".
The Flatiron Building 2013-07-17 Continuing my theme of Manhattan architecture. The Flatiron building was constructed in 1902 and is featured in books on the history of architecture. This view, also from the top of a bus, cuts out some of the 'ground clutter'. It was taken slightly earlier than yesterday's shot.
