THE Bridge It's not the highest or the longest or the oldest, but it is New York City's most iconic bridge. The insets show a painter on the cables, and police learning to walk the cables. P.S. I've heard that maintenance costs are increasing so much that the city is thinking of privatizing the bridge. Any takers?
What my stomach felt The metal is being painted on this iconic NYC bridge (guess which one). I took this shot while walking across. The camera saw straight cables, but they sure didn't feel that way to me. Vertigo.
