Wooden Christmas Ornaments hand carved in the Erzgebirge region of Germany

Happy Holidays 2010-12-21 I took this shot a year ago, but it is still one of my winter favorites. The person was on stilts, so was towering above me. The person represents "Frau Holle", from a Grimm fairytale - a germanic goddess controlling the weather, and who is usually shown bringing snow by shaking out her pillows.
