Along the Neue Donau

Reiher (Heron) - Alte Donau

Spring is in the air 2013-03-04 One of the many heron that have returned to Vienna. There is a small rookery in the 'Alte Donau' recreation arm of the Danube. About twenty or thirty heron are building their nests. This guy chose to stand on the highest branch and show off a little. Many thanks for making my wolf picture one of the top five (or maybe seven) yesterday. Very much appreciated.
