Eagles 2012-03-06 This pair has a nest in Cedar Point State Park, Florida. They are caring for a second set of eggs, since the first ones didn't survive this year. I took some OK shots in the morning - but the sun was behind the nest, so I came back just before sunset. Thanks for the kind comments on yesterday's egret shot!
Just a brown pelican 2012-03-07 When you go to fishing docks, you find pelicans that are not shy. Even though I didn't have a fish, I got fairly close to this one (still using the telephoto lens, though). Thanks for the comments about the eagles - one of my two best eagle shots.
We have Lift-off 2012-03-05 The snowy egret was once endangered but has made a good comeback. This one on a dock in Punta Gorda, Florida thought I was getting too close.
