Royal Eagle I was attending meetings in Geneva during the last days, and my wife and I revisited some of the sites we liked when we lived there. One of the sites is a popular show of birds of prey (raised in captivity), along Lac Leman (Lake Geneva), Les Aigles du Léman, in Sciez, France. So you will be seeing bird pictures for the next few days. P.S. this is of course a Golden Eagle, which in French is called Aigle Royal.
This small owl seemed to be imitating a cormorant, sitting there with his wings spread. It was impossible for me to catch a shot of any of the owls in flight - too fast. I didn't catch the name during the show, and it isn't in my books of European birds. Many thanks for ranking yesterday's shot in the top ten. Much appreciated.
Looking for Prey Another BIF from the show at the edge of Lake Geneva. Since the commentary was in French, I didn't catch all the names. Many thanks for ranking yesterday's eagle picture among the top shots of the day.
