Berries for Breakfast A common European Blackbird feasting along the Danube. I don't know why its eye and beak are so bright - they are supposed to be dull during winter. Perhaps the above-freezing weather has confused its hormones.
Good night If cormorants fly home in front of the moon (previous picture), where do they roost? In the family tree, of course. Seen here in the Danube Wetlands National Park. They've been using this tree for years, I understand. The one with a white belly is a juvenile.
Cormorant heading home Taken in the National Park along the Danube, a few days ago when the fog actually disappeared around sunset. The shot could have been sharper with a faster shutter speed, but then I would have had to increase the ISO even more.
