Great Egret in Breeding Plumage

Prairie Warbler 2011-03-27 I followed some 'birders' around and they said that this is a prairie warbler - spending the winter in Florida. Many thanks for the comments on yesterday's 'catch'. It is nice to be able to get the bird's eye and the fish's eye both in focus!

Morning Meal Reddish Egret and catch seen at the North Beach of Fort Desoto Park, near St. Petersburg, Florida. The fish doesn't look too happy. I saw this bird catch four fish while I sat on the sand and watched (and it lost one to a coromant). I appreciate all your comments, especially those of yesterday's early morning shot. Today I'm off to the Everglades.
