What bird is this? 2011-05-14 My "Birds of Ohio" book doesn't include it. Many thanks for the comments during the last couple days. I'm underway again, driving driving driving to catch my flight back home.
Tree Swallow 2011-05-11 The tree swallow is the first swallow to return to Ohio every spring. This one posed for me. Their feathers look blue when the light is on them. Many thanks for the comments on my shot of the stained glass windows.
Nest Building 2011-05-07 This shot was taken in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio. This shot *is* a heron (as opposed to yesterday's shot of a vulture). Who knows, it may be one of the same herons I saw two months ago in Florida.
