Winter guest, an Azure Tit, spending the winter on the Danube before returning to Russia or as far away as Kazakhstan.

Perfect Landing 2013-01-13 I took a walk yesterday in the Lobau - the Viennese part of the Danube Wetlands national park. The side arms of the Danube are partly frozen, partly not. This duck was obviously used to humans and glided in to see if I had any bread. Wintery again today, and I'm spending the afternoon with a group looking for winter birds in the national park.
