2011-10-02 Driving in the countryside yesterday, I decided to stop and take some pictures of an unused train line in Lower Austria. The line was a spur used to pick up milk and produce from the several small towns scattered across the eastern plain. It has been unused for several years. This view is a close-up vertical crop. I have a square crop with more depth here: http://www.jerrybarton.eu/Landscapes/Austria/7880107_NzFzPL#1507835416_k9nb9F3
Thanks for the comments on my Prater pictures.
Abandoned train line in Lower Austria
2011-09-14 The days are growing shorter, but these flowers are still blooming away. A neighbour has a long line of them growing outside her fence, along the street. They are eye height and so numerous you can hardly see the fence. I stopped the other day to tell her that one day I would take a picture of them. Yesterday I did.
Many thanks for the comments on the swimming picture. Much appreciated. [and yes, the slide makes a fun way to get into the water - but it still isn't easy getting back out of the water]
