Large insect, small flower 2012-05-06 I'm not sure what kind of insect this is (it doesn't have a glowing tail), but it sure had a hard time getting on top of this flower in our lawn. I'm not sure whether it got any nectar at all. Enjoy your day! And thanks for the comments on my organ pipes.
Simply Tulips 2012-04-22 Just a shot of some of the last tulips - the season started early here. These were in a park in Vienna's 18th district. Have a beautiful Sunday.
Take 2: Bamboo Love 2012-04-19 I did what I mentioned in my previous post - I went back to the Botanical Gardens with my tripod and made a sharper picture. The light was different as well (brighter), and I notice that I was closer than in the original picture. Still, in my humble opinion, this shot is better than the previous one for the 'shades of green' competition. [and by the way, both shots have been rotated to horizontal, the original is vertical.] Many thanks for your comments and thoughts.
