After the Storm 2010-08-14: Tremendous storm last night in Vienna - the most lightning I've seen in the city and high winds. It burnt out our Wireless LAN box - I spent the morning and most of the day replacing and reconfiguring - still haven't managed to reconfigure the repeater. Anyway, early this morning I went into the garden to inspect for damage, and saw these drops on our olive tree (1 metre high in a pot). No wind, the sun peeping between the clouds. A better day today. Many thanks for the fun comments on my 'skinny dipping/cycling' shot. I hope everyone was out of the water (and dressed) before the storm came.

The Black Rose 2010-08-06: This is a rose bush in our garden. I started with B&W and worked for a bit and ended up with this. Then I couldn't decide what to call it. "Death and Rebirth", "Generations", "Remembrance", and finally decided to leave the title area on the picture blank. At any rate, I hope you enjoy it. Spider in the air 2010-08-02: I don't know the name of this one. Two days ago I walked through its web between our pear tree and the hedge. Yesterday it was back again. The web is about head height and spans more than a meter.
