Schönbrunn Zoo

The Schönbrunn Zoo in Vienna, Austria, is the oldest in the world and has an aggressive and successful strategy to upgrade its facilities and care for and breed endangered species, as well as providing excellent local facilities for school children and casual visitors. I showed this shot on FB a couple of days ago and asked for captions. The best was "Looks aren't everything - I want to be the Easter Bunny this year." Spiny-tailed Lizard, native in North Africa, seen in the tropical house of the flower garden reserve of Vienna.
Living Dinosaur
"A Wondrous Bird is the ... It can hold in its beak Enough Food for a week" Another shot from our recent trip to the Vienna Zoo. And since you asked: The Vienna Zoo Schönbrunn advertises its Elephant poo under the name of "Elefantenglück" (Elephant Happiness) remarking that it is an especially mild not 'sharp' (I assume they mean Ph-neutral) organic fertilizer that does not need to be diluted before use and that it particularly good for roses. There is a lot of undigested hay in it.
Concentration
Concentration A Meerkat standing guard in its compound at the "Zoo Vienna" (Tiergarten Schönbrunn) yesterday. The main point of the trip was to pick up buckets of elephant poo for garden fertilizer, but I did get a few pictures.
